DefaultBoolean	Default	A DefaultBoolean value that specifies the Application Button’s visibility.

Available values:

Name	Description
True	true. DefaultBoolean.True has a constant value of 0, while the standard true value corresponds to a value of 1. In Visual Basic, do not use implicit conversion of Boolean values to DefaultBoolean, and vice versa, as the conversion may produce incorrect results.
False	false. DefaultBoolean.False has a constant value of 1, while the standard false value corresponds to a value of 0. In Visual Basic, do not use implicit conversion of Boolean values to DefaultBoolean, and vice versa, as the conversion may produce incorrect results.
Default	The default behavior determined by the control’s logic.

Remarks

If the ShowApplicationButton property is set to Default, the Ribbon Control automatically manages the Application Button’s visibility. For instance, it automatically hides the Application Button in the following cases:

• Within an MDI child Ribbon form.
• In the MacOffice paint style (see RibbonControl.RibbonStyle).

If required, you can use the ShowApplicationButton property to manually control the button’s visibility.

Note

The Application Button is not visible in the Office 2007 paint style, unless you place the RibbonControl onto a RibbonForm.
