Property Value

Type Description
DefaultBoolean

A DefaultBoolean enumerator value that specifies whether this Content Container should automatically display its context Navigation Bar upon activation.

Available values:

Name Description
True

true. DefaultBoolean.True has a constant value of 0, while the standard true value corresponds to a value of 1. In Visual Basic, do not use implicit conversion of Boolean values to DefaultBoolean, and vice versa, as the conversion may produce incorrect results.

False

false. DefaultBoolean.False has a constant value of 1, while the standard false value corresponds to a value of 0. In Visual Basic, do not use implicit conversion of Boolean values to DefaultBoolean, and vice versa, as the conversion may produce incorrect results.

Default

The default behavior determined by the control’s logic.

Remarks

If the ShowContextActionBarOnActivating property equals DefaultBoolean.True, the container automatically displays its context navigation bar when an end-user navigates to this container. The Context navigation bar is the bottom navigation bar that contains actions whose Type property equals ActionType.Context (see the Navigation Bars topic to learn more). The ShowContextActionBarOnActivating property has no effect if the container has no custom navigation bar actions or only actions of the Navigation type.

The DefaultBoolean.Default value indicates that this container acts according to the global setting, specified via the IContentContainerProperties.ShowContextActionBarOnActivating property.

To place a custom action on a navigation bar, add it to the BaseContentContainer.Actions or WindowsUIView.ContentContainerActions collection.
