ToolTipController.SetToolTipIconType(Control, ToolTipIconType) Method

Sets the type of the icon displayed within the specified control’s regular tooltip.

Parameters

Name Type Description
control Control

A control for which the icon type is set.

value ToolTipIconType

A ToolTipIconType value representing the type of the icon that should be displayed within the specified control’s regular tooltip.

Remarks

Use the SetToolTipIconType method to specify the type of the icon to display within the specified control’s regular tooltip. The type of tooltips (regular or SuperToolTip objects) displayed for controls is specified by the ToolTipController.ToolTipType property.

The ToolTipController.GetToolTipIconType function retrieves the icon type assigned to a control’s tooltip.

Note

The following methods are only in effect for controls which do not implement the DevExpress.Utils.IToolTipControlClient interface: ToolTipController.SetSuperTip, ToolTipController.GetSuperTip, ToolTipController.SetToolTip, ToolTipController.GetToolTip, ToolTipController.SetTitle, ToolTipController.GetTitle, ToolTipController.SetToolTipIconType,ToolTipController.GetToolTipIconType,ToolTipController.SetToolTipAnchor,ToolTipController.GetToolTipAnchor,ToolTipController.SetAllowHtmlText andToolTipController.GetAllowHtmlText methods.
