Connection Strings for XPO Providers

When you construct a connection string manually and assign it to the CustomStringConnectionParameters property, use the XpoProvider parameter to identify the provider type. Connection string examples are listed in the following table:

Relational Database System

  2. The MS SQL Server data provider is automatically specified if you set the “Initial Catalog” parameter and do not use the word “Provider” (for instance, the “XpoProvider” parameter) in the connection string.
