Comment/Uncomment Selection
CodeRush allows you to comment out a selected code or delete comment delimeters with a single keystroke:
- Select the code block to comment out or uncomment.
Press Slash (/) in C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, F#, XAML, XML, and CSS code.
or
Apostrophe (‘) in Visual Basic, XAML, XML, and CSS code.

Standard shortcuts can be different in foreign language keyboard layouts. For example, the Swedish keyboard layout treats the “/“ key as Shift+7.
To change shortcuts that run CodeRush features: use the CodeRush | Shortcuts… menu item to access shortcuts configuration options, find the required shortcut by its command or keys, and modify the “First shortcut” field.
