Report Designer Options

After installing DevExpress .NET components, the XtraReports menu is automatically added to Visual Studio’s main menu.

You can use this menu to invoke the Report Designer Options window. It allows you to specify the default settings for all reports you create in Visual Studio.

These settings include:

• XtraReport.ScriptLanguage

  Specifies the default language scripts used in reports (C#, Visual Basic, or JavaScript).

• UserDesignerOptions.ConvertBindingsToExpressions

  Specifies whether to automatically convert data bindings to expressions when opening reports that have bindings defined for any of their elements.

  UserDesignerOptions.DataBindingMode

  Specifies the mode of providing data for report controls.

• XtraReport.DrawGrid

  Specifies whether to draw the snap grid over the report surface to help align report elements.

  XtraReport.SnappingMode

  Specifies the default mode of snapping report elements to each other when they are resized or moved.

  Specifies the default system of measurement used in reports to define element locations, dimensions, and margins.
