GridControl.AllowResizing Property

Gets or sets whether end-users can change column widths by dragging the edges of their headers.

Namespace: DevExpress.UI.Xaml.Grid

Assembly: DevExpress.UI.Xaml.Grid.v18.2.dll

Declaration

[XtraSerializableProperty]
public bool AllowResizing { get; set; }

Property Value

Type Description
Boolean

true to allow end-users to change column widths; otherwise, false.

Remarks

End-users are allowed to resize columns if the view’s AllowResizing property is set to true. Individual columns provide the ColumnBase.AllowResizing property, allowing the default behavior specified by the grid to be overridden. Setting this property to ‘True’ or ‘False’ overrides the default behavior. This can be useful when it is required to prevent an end-user from resizing individual columns.

If the column’s ColumnBase.AllowResizing property is set to ‘Default’, the ability to resize columns is controlled by the grid’s AllowResizing property. In this instance, to obtain whether an end-user can resize a column, use the ColumnBase.ActualAllowResizing property.
