Occurs when an end-user tries to create a new appointment and the OptionsCustomization.AllowAppointmentCreate property is set to Custom.
public event AppointmentOperationEventHandler AllowAppointmentCreate
Public Event AllowAppointmentCreate As AppointmentOperationEventHandler
The AllowAppointmentCreate event's data class is AppointmentOperationEventArgs. The following properties provide information specific to this event:
|Allow||Gets or sets a value indicating whether an end-user is allowed to perform a particular action.|
|Appointment||Gets the appointment for which the event was raised. Inherited from AppointmentEventArgs.|
|Recurring||Gets or sets a value indicating if the appointment is recurring.|
You are viewing documentation for the legacy WPF Scheduler control. If you’re starting a new project, we strongly recommend that you use a new control declared in the DevExpress.Xpf.Scheduling namespace. If you decide to upgrade an existing project in order to switch to the updated scheduler control, see the Migration Guidelines document.
Handle the AllowAppointmentCreate event to manually decide whether to allow an end-user to create a new appointment or not. Note that the appointment to create can be accessed via the AppointmentEventArgs.Appointment property. To prevent an appointment from being created, set the AppointmentOperationEventArgs.Allow property to false.
This example demonstrates how to prevent end-users from having appointments within a certain time interval (from 2 PM to 3 PM). To implement end-user restrictions, handle the SchedulerControl.AllowAppointmentCreate event to prevent end-users from creating appointments within a certain time interval and the SchedulerControl.AllowAppointmentConflicts event to prevent an existing appointment from being dragged to the same time interval:
