System Requirements
The Scaffolding Wizard requires Visual Studio 2012 or later. An Entity Framework 6 DbContext or a reference to a WCF DataService is used as a data source. The Entity Framework 5 DataContext is not supported directly, but it is possible to upgrade it to Entity Framework 6
The following data providers are supported.
- Microsoft SQL Server (bundled with EntityFramework)
- Microsoft SQL Server CE (bundled with EntityFramework)
- Microsoft LocalDB (bundled with EntityFramework)
- Oracle Database (Oracle Data Provider for .NET)
- PostgreSQL (Npgsql)
- SQLite (System.Data.SQLite)
- MySQL (MySQL Connector/Net)
