This tutorial describes how to manage reports in the Report and Dashboard Server and consists of the following sections:
Switch to the Documents screen where you can access and manage documents.
Click the Add Report button to create an empty report.
This opens the Web Report Designer which allows you to bind a report to data, add various report controls, perform data shaping operations, etc. This documentation section includes other tutorials describing how to construct reports.
After creating the report in the Web Report Designer, you can upload it to the server. Click the Menu button and select Save.
In the invoked dialog, specify the document name, select an existing category or create a new one, and type the revision comment.
The new report becomes available on the Documents screen.
Click the Design button on the report tile to edit this report in the Designer.
After you make changes to this document, you can save the revision by clicking the Save button in the menu. In the invoked dialog, specify the revision comment and click OK to upload it to the server.
Switch to the Documents screen and click the document caption to show the screen with the document details.
Click the Export button to export the report layout and download the resulting file, which has the REPX extension.
You can also export the report layout by selecting Export to REPX in the Designer's Menu.
To import the report layout, click Import from REPX in the Designer's Menu. Use the Click to select file button and, in the invoked Import Report dialog, locate the file with the REPX extension. Alternatively, you can drop the file onto the invoked dialog. Then, click the Import button to open the layout in the Designer.
On the document details screen, click the Revision History button to view all report revisions.
Click the Rollback button to roll back to a specific document version.
Click Yes in the invoked dialog to confirm the operation.
