The Scatter Chart dashboard item does not paint its arguments in Default mode.

The image below displays the Scatter Chart dashboard item whose State points use Default mode:

For each color, you can also specify a fill style to distinguish scatter points without relying on color. Use a solid or hatch fill style for Scatter Chart dashboard items.
