Customize Navigation Between Views
In the Define the Data Model and Set the Initial Data section of this tutorial, you learned how to customize the navigation control in code. You added attributes to an entity class that added a corresponding item to the navigation control and specified the name of this class in the UI.
In this section, you will learn how to customize the navigation control in the Application Model. For this purpose, you can use the Model Editor – an XAF native tool to edit the Application Model at design time. You can open it directly from Visual Studio. You can also allow users to invoke the Model Editor at runtime.
