    Property Value

    Type Description
    String

    The name of a JavaScript function used to handle the ReportOpening event.

    Remarks

    Handle the ReportOpening event to prevent certain reports from being opened.

    The handler function receives two parameters: the first parameter is the client-side Report Designer (the event sender) and the second parameter is an object with the following properties and methods:

    • Url
      The URL of the report currently being opened.

    • Report
      The report currently being opened.

    • Cancel
      Specifies whether to cancel opening the report.

    The following code does not allow the Report Designer to load reports with a URL that contains the “table” substring:

    window.ReportingDesignerCustomization = {
        onReportOpening: function (s, e) {
            if (e.Url.toLowerCase().includes("table"))
                e.Cancel = true;
        }
    }
