Remarks

Initially, all master row within a View are collapsed. They can be expanded either by end-users or in code in order to make their detail Views visible. This functionality is not available when the EnableMasterViewMode property is set to false.

Note

When pixel-based vertical row scrolling is enabled, the Master-Detail Mode is forcibly disabled. See GridOptionsBehavior.AllowPixelScrolling, to learn more.

Note

Master-detail data presentation is not supported in server mode.
