Parameters

Name Type Description
text String

The text to display in the message box.

caption String

A string value that specifies the caption of the message box.

buttons MessageBoxButtons

A value that specifies which buttons to display in the message box.

icon MessageBoxIcon

One of the MessageBoxIcon values that specifies which icon to display in the message box.

allowHtmlText DefaultBoolean

A value that specifies whether HTML tags can be used to format the text and caption of a message box. See XtraMessageBox.AllowHtmlText to learn more.

Remarks

The following list shows the default parameters of the Show method overloads. You can override these parameters using a specific Show method overload.

  • Caption - Empty string
  • Buttons - MessageBoxButtons.OK
  • Owner - null
  • Icon - MessageBoxIcon.None
  • DefaultButton - MessageBoxDefaultButton.Button1
  • XtraMessageBox.AllowHtmlText - DefaultBoolean.Default
