Name Description
Never

Clicking within the text region does not activate the popup window. A popup window appears only when pressing the RepositoryItemPopupBase.CloseUpKey key or Alt + DownArrow key, or calling the editor’s PopupBaseEdit.ShowPopup method.

SingleClick

A popup window is activated when a user clicks within the text region of a control.

DoubleClick

A popup window is activated when a user double-clicks within the text region of a control.

Note: the value is in effect when the RepositoryItemButtonEdit.TextEditStyle property is set to TextEditStyles.Standard as well.

Remarks

Values listed in this enumeration are used to set the RepositoryItemPopupBase.ShowDropDown property value. The property specifies whether end-users can open an editor’s popup window by clicking the edit box and whether a single or double click is required.

Note: when a repository item’s RepositoryItemButtonEdit.TextEditStyle property is set to TextEditStyles.Standard, the editor’s text box is available to end-users. This implies that the editor processed single clicks to focus the control or to move caret to another position within the text box. In this case, the popup window cannot be opened by a single click on the text box regardless of the RepositoryItemPopupBase.ShowDropDown property value. In other words, to allow the opening of the popup window by a single click on the text box, you need to set the RepositoryItemPopupBase.ShowDropDown property to SingleClick and the RepositoryItemButtonEdit.TextEditStyle property to TextEditStyles.DisableTextEditor.
