| Near | In a left-to-right layout, items are aligned to the left from the layout axis. In a right-to-left layout, items are aligned to the right. |

| Far | In a left-to-right layout, items are aligned to the right from the layout axis. In a right-to-left layout, items are aligned to the left. |

Remarks
The Alignment property specifies how the tree layout algorithm arranges shapes relatively to the layout axis. The layout axis is specified using the DiagramOptionsTreeLayout.Direction property.
