This tutorial describes how to manage dashboards in the Report and Dashboard Server and consists of the following sections:
Switch to the Documents screen, where you can access and manage documents.
Click the Add Dashboard button to create an empty dashboard.
This opens the Web Dashboard Designer which allows you to bind a dashboard to data, add various dashboard items, perform data shaping operations, etc. This documentation section includes tutorials describing the process of constructing dashboards.
After creating the required dashboard in the Web Dashboard Designer, you can upload it to the server. Click the Dashboard Menu button and select Save.
In the invoked dialog, specify the document name, select an existing category or create a new one, and type the revision comment.
The new dashboard becomes available on the Documents screen.
Click the Design button on the dashboard tile to edit this dashboard in the Designer.
After you make changes to this document, you can save the revision by clicking the Save button in the menu. In the invoked dialog, specify the revision comment and click OK to upload it to the server.
Switch to the Documents screen and click the document caption to show the screen with the document details.
Click the Export button to export the dashboard layout to XML and download the resulting file.
You can also export the dashboard layout by selecting Export to XML in the Dashboard Menu.
To import the dashboard layout, click Import from XML in the Dashboard Menu. Use the Click to select file button and, in the invoked dialog, locate the file with the XML extension containing the required dashboard. Alternatively, you can drop the file onto the Import from XML screen. Then, click the Import button to open the layout in the Designer.
On the document details screen, click the Revision History button to view all dashboard revisions.
Click the Rollback button to roll back to a specific document version.
Click Yes in the invoked dialog to confirm the operation.
