Remarks

When the Loading Panel is visible, it partially overlaps content:

Enable the ApplyBackgroundShading option to shade the target content area:

Note that if you shade the target content area and set the IndicatorAreaVisible property to false, the indicator uses contrast colors to stand out from the shaded background.

You can also set the IsContentVisible property to false to obscure content with a solid fill color.
