[DXCategory("Shortcut")]
public string ApplicationName { get; set; }

Property Value

Type Default Description
String null

A String value that is the caption of an application shortcut, pinned to the Windows 8 Start Screen.

Remarks

ToastNotificationsManager requires an application shortcut at the Windows 8 Start Screen in order to display toast notifications. You can set the ToastNotificationsManager.CreateApplicationShortcut property to DefaultBoolean.True to create such a shortcut while debugging. The ApplicationName and ToastNotificationsManager.ApplicationIconPath properties set the caption and icon for this shortcut respectively.

Note

Since your released product will most likely have an installation that will create an application Start Screen shortcut, the ApplicationName property is primarily designed for debugging purposes.

See the Toast Notification Manager topic for details.
