If an appointment lasts several days, visually it can be divided into several parts - one part for each day. If the bottom border of a vertical appointment part does not correspond to the appointment end time, the bottom border is not displayed for this part (the HasBottomBorder property returns false) and the next part does not have the top border (AppointmentViewInfo.HasTopBorder returns false). This situation is possible, when the appointment extends over multiple days.

Appointments are displayed vertically in time cells of the Day View and Work-Week View.
