BaseEdit.AllowNullInput Property

Gets or sets whether end-users can set the editor's value to a null reference. This is a dependency property.

Remarks

If the AllowNullInput property is set to true, end-users can set the editor's value to a null reference by pressing the CTRL+DEL or CTRL+0 key combinations. If the BaseEdit.NullValue property is specified, its value is assigned to the BaseEdit.EditValue property. Otherwise, the BaseEdit.EditValue property is set to null (Nothing in Visual Basic).

NOTE

If the AllowNullInput property is set to false, the Clear button is not displayed within the DateEdit's dropdown calendar.

NOTE

CTRL + 0 key combination does not work when using a French keyboard.

NOTE

By default, if an end-user clears the text displayed within the edit box, the BaseEdit.EditValue property is set to a null reference. The AllowNullInput property is not in effect in this instance.
