IModelActionWeb.IsPostBackRequired Property

Specifies whether a postback is performed instead of callback when a user executes the Action. For example, this property value should be true for Actions that download files or change an application language.

Namespace: DevExpress.ExpressApp.Web.SystemModule

Assembly: DevExpress.ExpressApp.Web.v23.2.dll

NuGet Package: DevExpress.ExpressApp.Web

Declaration

[DefaultValue(false)]
bool IsPostBackRequired { get; set; }

Property Value

Type Default Description
Boolean false

true, to perform a postback when a user executes the Action; false, to perform a callback.

Remarks

Set this property to true if you need to send a postback when a user executes an Action in an ASP.NET Web Forms application. For example, the built-in Export Action is executed on postback, because a postback is required to transmit a file to the client.

To specify this property, open the Model Editor for the ASP.NET Web Forms application project (MySolution.Web) and navigate to the ActionDesign | Actions | <Action> node.
