Available values:

Name Description
Hide

Specifies that UI elements affected by a conditional appearance rule are hidden, and the Detail View’s layout is rearranged.

ShowEmptySpace

Specifies that empty space is displayed instead of UI elements affected by a conditional appearance rule, when AppearanceAttribute.AppearanceItemType is set to ViewItem or LayoutItem. In XAF ASP.NET Web applications this mode functions like the ViewItemVisibility.Hide mode.

Show

Specifies that UI elements affected by a conditional appearance rule remain visible (has effect in List View only).

Remarks

If there are conditional appearance rules that change the visibility state within the rules appropriate for the target UI element, the AppearanceObject‘s Visibility property returns the visibility state specified by the rule with the higher priority (see IAppearance.Priority). If there are no rules that change the visibility state, the Visibility property returns null (Nothing in VB).
