Report Wizard

The End-User Report Designer provides a wizard for creating basic report layouts and connect reports to data sources.

Tip

This wizard is nearly identical to the Report Wizard available in the Visual Studio Report Designer (except for the Inherited Report option that is not available in the End-User Report Designer).

An end-user can select the following options when launching the Report Wizard:

• Blank

  Creates a new blank report that is not bound to a data source. Choose this option to design your report without using the wizard.

• Table Report

  Allows you to create a table report, connect it to a data source and configure basic report layout settings.

• Vertical Report

  Allows you to create a vertical report, connect it to a data source and configure basic report layout settings.

• Cross-Tab Report

  Allows you to create a cross-tab report, connect it to a data source and configure basic report layout settings.

• Template

  Enables you to create a new report based on available predefined templates.

• Labels

  Runs the Label Wizard enabling you to create labels, badges or price tags by selecting from hundreds of customizable layouts.
