Remarks

Group captions allow an end-user to expand groups by clicking their captions. If group captions are invisible, groups can be expanded via code. Use the NavBarControl.ActiveGroup property for this purpose.

Only the following views allow group captions to be hidden: BaseView, FlatView, Office1View, Office2View, Office3View, XP1View and XP2View.

Use the NavBarControl.GetHideGroupCaptions method to determine whether group captions are truly hidden.
