GridView.CanResizeDetailRow(Int32) Method
Indicates whether the end-users can change the height of the specified master row’s detail section.
Namespace: DevExpress.XtraGrid.Views.Grid
Assembly: DevExpress.XtraGrid.v19.2.dll
Declaration
Parameters
Name | Type | Description |
---|---|---|
rowHandle | Int32 | An integer value containing a master row handle. |
Returns
Type | Description |
---|---|
Boolean | true if end-users can drag the detail section’s bottom edge to resize the section; otherwise, false. |
Remarks
This member supports the grid control’s internal infrastructure and is not intended to be used in your code.
In the current version, end-users are always allowed to resize detail sections and the CanResizeDetailRow function simply returns true. This may be modified in future versions.
Views use this method to determine whether the cursor appearance changes when the mouse pointer is over a detail section’s bottom edge and, thus, whether the resizing operation is allowed.
Note
Detail pattern Views do not contain data and they are never displayed within XtraGrid. So, the CanResizeDetailRow member must not be invoked for these Views. The CanResizeDetailRow member can only be used with real Views that are displayed within the Grid Control. The real Views with which an end-user interacts at runtime can be accessed using the following methods.
- GridControl.MainView - returns the top most View in a grid;
- GridControl.FocusedView - returns the focused View;
- GridControl.DefaultView - returns the currently maximized View;
- the sender parameter of View specific events;
- GridView.GetDetailView - returns a detail clone View for a specific master row.
