GridColumn.RealColumnEdit Property
Gets the repository item that actually represents the column’s editor.

Remarks
If an editor is not assigned to a column via the GridColumn.ColumnEditName and GridColumn.ColumnEdit properties, the column uses the default editor. The default editor’s type depends on the column’s data type. DateTime columns use the DateEdit editor as a default. Boolean columns use CheckEdit editors. Columns of other types use TextEdit editors by default.
If a repository item is assigned to the GridColumn.ColumnEdit property, RealColumnEdit returns this repository item. Otherwise it returns the default edit with respect to the column type.
Example
This example binds a GridControl to a collection of custom Record objects and demonstrates the following features:
Assigning an inplace editor (combo box) to a column
Specifying a column’s display name and data format by applying DataAnnotation attributes to Record class properties
