The RepositoryItemColorEdit provides settings specific to a color editor and these allow you to customize the editor’s look, feel and behavior. Most members are inherited from the base class. However RepositoryItemColorEdit provides a number of properties specific only to a color editor:
- RepositoryItemColorEdit.ColorAlignment specifies the alignment of the preview color box in the edit box
- RepositoryItemColorEdit.ColorText controls the representation of the selected color in the edit box
- RepositoryItemColorEdit.CustomColors contains colors to display in the Custom page of the dropdown window
- RepositoryItemColorEdit.StoreColorAsInteger specifies the type of value returned by ColorEdit.EditValue

You do not need to create repository items manually unless you have to create inplace editors (for the XtraGrid, for instance).
