CalcEdit.EditValue Property
Gets or sets the editor’s value.
Namespace: DevExpress.XtraEditors
Assembly: DevExpress.XtraEditors.v19.2.dll
Declaration
Property Value
Type | Description |
---|---|
Object | An object representing the editor’s value. |
Remarks
The EditValue property allows you to get or set the editor’s value. You can set EditValue to any object. However, the calc editor only supports numeric values and so the edit value is converted to a numeric type when required.
Before opening the dropdown calculator, the edit value is converted to decimal.
Also, when moving focus to another control or by pressing the ENTER key in the edit box (if the RepositoryItemTextEdit.ValidateOnEnterKey property is set to true), the edit value is converted to decimal and the result is assigned back to the edit value. If the conversion fails, the edit value is set to 0.
The CalcEdit.Value property matches the edit value. This represents the edit value converted to decimal. Assigning CalcEdit.Value modifies the EditValue property.
