Remarks

By default, the appearance of BarDockControl objects is determined by a bar and dock controller. You can access these default appearance settings using the BarManagerAppearances.Dock property of the BarAndDockingController.AppearancesBar object.

The Appearance property allows you to override the default appearance settings for particular BarDockControl objects. The image below shows a custom image assigned to the top dock control using the AppearanceObject.Image property.

Note that the image cannot be displayed within a BarDockControl in the Office2003, WindowsXP and Skin painting schemes. See the BarAndDockingController.LookAndFeel property to change the current painting scheme.
