Design-Time Actions: Resizing and Moving Layout Items

The following table lists the design-time actions that can be used to resize and move layout items in the Layout Control.

Action

Effect

Dragging a layout item/group within the Layout Control

Moves the layout item/group along with its contents to a new position.

If multiple layout items/groups are selected, the layout item/group that was selected last will be moved.

Dragging a layout item to the Customization Form

Hides the layout item and its control.

Dragging a layout item from the Customization Form to the Layout Control

Makes the layout item and its control visible at the specified position.

Dragging the right or bottom edge of a layout item or group

Resizes the layout item/group. Note that size constraints that are set for layout items can prevent the layout item/group from being resized.
