Event Data

The ConnectionChanging event's data class is DiagramConnectionChangingEventArgs. The following properties provide information specific to this event:

Property Description
Cancel Gets or sets whether the event should be canceled. Inherited from CancelRoutedEventArgs.
Connector Returns the connector whose beginning/ending item is about to be changed.
ConnectorPointType Returns the type of the connection point which is about to be moved.
Handled Gets or sets a value that indicates the present state of the event handling for a routed event as it travels the route. Inherited from RoutedEventArgs.
NewIndex Returns the index of the connection point on the diagram item to which the connector is about to be attached.
NewItem Returns the diagram item the connector is about to be attached to.
NewPoint Returns the new coordinates of the connection point which is about to be moved.
OldIndex Returns the index of the connection point on the diagram item from which the connector is about to be detached.
OldItem Returns the diagram item from which the connector is about to be detached.
OldPoint Returns the initial coordinates of the connection point which is about to be moved.
OriginalSource Gets the original reporting source as determined by pure hit testing, before any possible Source adjustment by a parent class. Inherited from RoutedEventArgs.
RoutedEvent Gets or sets the RoutedEvent associated with this RoutedEventArgs instance. Inherited from RoutedEventArgs.
Source Gets or sets a reference to the object that raised the event. Inherited from RoutedEventArgs.

The event data class exposes the following methods:

Method Description
InvokeEventHandler(Delegate, Object) When overridden in a derived class, provides a way to invoke event handlers in a type-specific way, which can increase efficiency over the base implementation. Inherited from RoutedEventArgs.
OnSetSource(Object) When overridden in a derived class, provides a notification callback entry point whenever the value of the Source property of an instance changes. Inherited from RoutedEventArgs.

Remarks

The ConnectorPointType event’s property returns whether the connection point that is about to be changed is the begin or end point. To get the previous diagram item and its connection point to which the connection point was glued, use the OldItem and OldIndex properties correspondingly. The new item and its connection point are returned by the NewItem and NewIndex properties
