Field Location and Order

The Pivot Grid control has four areas where the data source fields can be located. These areas are: data, column, row and filter. Fields located within these areas are called data, column, row and filter fields, respectively. End-users can change a field’s location or order via drag-and-drop.

• Data Header Area

  Contains data fields - the fields against which summaries are calculated. The summary results are displayed within the Data Area.

• Column Header Area

  Contains column fields. The values of these fields are listed along the grid’s top edge and represent column headers.

• Row Header Area

  Contains row fields. The values of these fields are listed along the grid’s left edge and represent row headers.

• Filter Header Area

  Contains filter fields, which allow end-users to apply filtering to the entire DXPivotGrid control.
