Series Types Compatibility

This document describes the main principles behind the creation of compound charts - the charts with multiple series of different types.

The Series type defines the overall look of a series of points and its specific options. The series type is defined by its associated diagram type. Two major diagram types are: SimpleDiagram2D and XYDiagram2D.

The Simple diagram plots solely Pie and Donut Series.

And the XY-diagram underlays all other series types that are listed below.

The following table lists the available diagram types and series view types they support.
