FibonacciIndicator.BaseLevelLineStyle Property

Gets a value defining the line style of the lines representing the Fibonacci Indicator‘s base levels (0% or 100% depending on the indicator kind).

Namespace: DevExpress.XtraCharts

Assembly: DevExpress.XtraCharts.v19.1.dll

Declaration

[XtraChartsLocalizableCategory(XtraChartsCategory.Appearance)]
[XtraSerializableProperty(XtraSerializationVisibility.Content)]
[PersistenceMode(PersistenceMode.InnerProperty)]
public LineStyle BaseLevelLineStyle { get; }

Property Value

Type Description
LineStyle

A LineStyle object which represents the line style options for the lines representing the Fibonacci Indicator’s base levels.

Remarks

There are several kinds of Fibonacci Indicators (represented by the FibonacciIndicator class), which are determined by the FibonacciIndicatorKind property. For each kind there is the option to show or hide the so-called base levels (0% or 100% depending on the indicator kind). Despite the fact that they are not the members of a Fibonacci sequence, it may be helpful to use them for a better trend presentation. To show or hide these levels, use the indicator’s FibonacciIndicator.ShowLevel0 and FibonacciIndicator.ShowLevel100 properties.

And, you can use the BaseLevelLineStyle property to access and modify a base level’s line style settings (such as the thickness and dash style). Also, use the FibonacciIndicator.BaseLevelColor and FibonacciIndicatorLabel.BaseLevelTextColor properties, to define the base level’s color and text color.

Example

This example demonstrates how to create a Fibonacci Indicator of a certain kind (Arcs, Fans or Retracements), and add it to a financial series.

To do this, create an instance of the FibonacciIndicator class, and specify its FibonacciIndicator.Kind property. Then, add this indicator to the series collection of indicators, returned by the XYDiagram2DSeriesViewBase.Indicators property.
