Install on a Local Team Foundation Server

  1. Access the CodeRush Server extension.

The CodeRush Server extension is available as a free preview on the Microsoft Azure DevOps Marketplace. Use this link to access the extension page.

  1. Click the Get it free button on the CodeRush Server page.

  2. Select an Azure DevOps organization and click the Download button.

  3. Save the downloaded extension to your local disk.

  4. Go to your Team Foundation Server (TFS) home page (https://yourserver/tfs).

  5. Select the TFS Settings menu and choose the Extensions item.

  6. Click the Browse local extensions button on the Extensions page.

  7. Scroll down to the bottom of the TFS Extensions page and click the Manage extensions button in the Manage Extensions category.

If you want to visit the Manage Extensions page directly, click on the following URL: http://yourserver/tfs/_gallery/manage.

  1. Click the Upload new extension button to upload an extension.

  2. Select a .vsix file to upload.

  3. Click the Upload button.

  4. Select the uploaded CodeRush Server extension in the Manage Extensions page. Choose Install in the invoked menu.

  5. Select a project collection where you want to install the extension and click the Confirm button.

  6. The welcome window appears when the installation is completed.

    You can see the installed CodeRush Server extension on the Extensions page.
