The General options page enables you to customize main options for the Code Formatting tool.
The options page is language-dependent. It means that the options set depend on the currently selected language.
The options page includes the following options.
- Adjust code style on autoformat - specifies whether or not CodeRush Classic applies its formatting rules whenever Visual Studio's active language service auto-formats the code.
- Keep existing line breaks - if this option is on, CodeRush Classic keeps all existing whitespaces except those situated at the beginning of the code line while formatting.
- Keep existing whitespaces - if this option is on, CodeRush Classic keeps all existing line breaks except those situated just before opening curly braces while formatting.
This product is designed for outdated versions of Visual Studio. Although Visual Studio 2015 is supported, consider using the CodeRush extension with Visual Studio 2015 or higher.
