The Action Hints options page contains Action Hints options.
The following options are available on the options page:
Specifies action hints availability.
If this option is checked, an action hint’s opacity slowly raises from 0 up to the specified value, when this hint appears. If the option is unchecked, action hints appear immediately.
If this option is checked, an action hint’s opacity slowly descends down to 0, when the hint disappears. If the option is unchecked, action hints disappears immediately.
Specifies the time period (in milliseconds) during which an action hint is shown.
Font Name and Font Size
Specify action hints font options.
The action hint opacity.
Click the Test button to test the action hint appearance.
The tree view at the bottom of the options page lists the features that call action hints. If a tree item is selected, its statistics and options are shown to the left of the tree. These options specify when the action hint is displayed. You can choose one of the following values:
|Never show this hint||The action hint is never displayed.|
|Display this hint the first N times that this feature is used||The action hint is displayed each time until the appropriate feature is executed N times. Check Reset display count each time I start Visual Studio to reset the display counter on each Visual Studio startup.|
|Always display hint when this action is performed||The action hint is displayed each time the feature is executed.|
If a root tree item is selected, only its usage statistics are shown. Root items do not have options.
