Dynamic Lists

This options page enables you to customize the templates dynamic data.

Dynamic list is a variable that contains the list of mnemonics and their values.

To use a dynamic list in a template, paste the name of the desired dynamic list variable surrounded with question mark characters (?) to the template. For example, the method declaration template is m?Type?, where Type is the name of the dynamic list variable. This template expands if you type m followed by any mnemonic contained in the dynamic list.

Dynamic lists are listed in the left part of the options page. Use the New and Delete buttons to add and delete list items appropriately.

The information on the selected list item is shown to the right of the list and includes the following elements:

  • Varaible Name
  • The mnemonics table. The fields under the table are used to edit existing mnemonics and create new mnemonics.
  • The context editor is shown at the bottom of the options page. It enables you to specify the dynamic list context. Click Show Folder Context to show the context editor.

Note

This product is designed for outdated versions of Visual Studio. Although Visual Studio 2015 is supported, consider using the CodeRush extension with Visual Studio 2015 or higher.
