Markers

Markers are like breadcrumb trails for finding your way back to important points in your code. CodeRush Classic automatically drops markers (e.g., through template expansion, selection embedding, etc.). Use the Alt + Home key combination to manually drop markers.

If the clipboard contains code that you want to paste at a recently-dropped marker, you can jump back to the marker and paste in a single action by pressing SHIFT + ESC. To collect a recently-dropped marker, press the ESC key.

Marker settings (color, duration, etc.) can be specified within the Editor | Painting | Markers page of CodeRush Classic Options.

Note

This product is designed for outdated versions of Visual Studio. Although Visual Studio 2015 is supported, consider using the CodeRush extension with Visual Studio 2015 or higher.
