Providing Data
The documents in this section detail several approaches used for providing data to a chart. To learn how a new empty chart can be embedded into your application, refer to the How to: Add a Chart to a Web Application document.
There are two general ways of providing data to your chart.
Manually Create a Series - where each series is explicitly added to the chart’s collection. A series isn’t displayed unless it has points. Thus, populate your series with points in one of the two following ways:

Automatic series creation - where you specify a data source and a common template, based on which, series are both created and populated automatically. This includes Pivot Charting (Integration with a Pivot Grid Control). |
